What is UBL?

UBL (Universal Business Language) is an international standard developed by OASIS to define XML formats for business documents. It serves as the basis for many European national standards (XRechnung, Peppol BIS) and the EN 16931 standard.

OASIS Standard

UBL is maintained by OASIS (Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards), an international standardization consortium. Version 2.1 is the most widely used in Europe.
